Wireing Diagram Head Lights Ford Tempo

I have a 1993 Ford Tempo and my tail lights stopped working a couple of days ago. The brake lights work. The parking lights work. The turn signals work. The head lights work. The back-up lights work. Just no tail lights. The bulbs are OK. The grounds are OK. The wiring as far forward as I can go is OK. All the fuses in the fuse block are OK. The head light switch appears to be OK, Though I cannot be 100% sure. The dimmer switch seems OK. It dims my dash panel properly, and feels OK. The headlight switch feels OK. I don't think my car is equipped with a DRL module as I couldn't find one around the radiator, and the headlights don't come on while driving during the day, so I'm going to assume it does not have one. Any help would be appreciated.

I checked the #4 fuse at the fuse block and there is power there and the fuse is good. This is supposed to be, among other things the fuse to the tail lights. I'm kinda at my wits end here as everything seems to be OK, I just don't have tail lights. I was wondering if there might be a fuse-able link somewhere in the wiring to the tail lights. The Diagrams don't show one. I'm getting very close to just running new wiring to the tail lights from the fuse block, or the light switch.

Do the license plate lights work? How about the chime for the lights on and door open?
See if there's power in the brown wire at the rear trunk area. How about the ground back there?

Follow the brown wire from the fuse box back, to see where the problem is.

I'm not sure that's a viable solution, as it would require ripping out the interior and the rocker panel cover on the drivers side. The better solution would be to lay a new 14 gauge wire under the edge of the carpet all the way back to the trunk. the rear seat will pop up and out without too much problem, giving me access to trunk on that side. But before that I'm going to examine the trunk lid again as the wiring from the switch goes first to the license plate lights and then on to the tail lights. This is the only difference I found between the electrical diagrams and how it is really wired up. Maybe opening and closing the trunk lid has fatigued the wire some how. But the wiring is inclosed in shielding and will be difficult to access and test - Thank you for your help.

I'd just check the end areas and connectors. The rest usually doesn't go bad unless it gets cut for some reason.
